SPICMACAY Ahmedabad chapter and DPS Bopal organised the Purulia Chhau dance for the students of DPS Bopal Ahmedabad.on 23 FEB from 11am to 12 noon at Abhivyakti ,DPS Bopal campus.

Principal Mr Kulbhushan Kain,Sr Vice principal Ms Sumitra Raghavan,Vice principal Ms Vandna Joshi ,Head Mistress Ms Sabina Sawhney ,Prerna Head Ms Uzma Amir and students from standard 7 , 8 and students of VEDIC and Prerna were the audience.All were spellbound by the “Mahishasur Mardini ” dance drama.

The Orchestra of “Mohuri”, “Chad-Chadi”, “Dhol”, “Dhumsa” etc. the vigorous steps of Chalis or Topka uflis (Jumping locomotions), from rural house hold activities, behaviour of animals, and birds and war actions. kept them enthralled.It was a great learning experience for all of us.
